Perkins Coie Named One of FORTUNE Magazine's 100 Best Companies to Work For

SEATTLE (January 7, 2003) – Perkins Coie LLP, a Seattle-headquartered law firm, has been named one of FORTUNE magazine's 100 best companies to work for. It is one of only three law firms nationwide, and one of six companies in Seattle to make the list.

Perkins Coie, with offices in Bellevue and Olympia in addition to Seattle in the Puget Sound region, has grown to 309 lawyers locally, part of a plan of steady nationwide and international growth that has seen the firm grow to nearly 600 lawyers in 14 offices. It has grown primarily by attracting top-flight lateral hires from other firms.

Two-thirds of the survey's weight is placed on employees' responses. Perkins Coie was rated highly for having flexible work schedules and a strong employee sabbatical program.
