Perkins Coie Continues Its Growth in California With the Addition of Kirk Dublin
Press Release
SAN FRANCISCO (May 22, 2007) – Perkins Coie announced that Kirk Dublin has joined its national Litigation practice as a partner. He will practice in the firm's San Francisco office.
Dublin joins the firm from Jones Day, where he was a partner in the Litigation practice. He brings more than 30 years of experience litigating in state and federal courts around the country. His clients range from individuals and small businesses to FORTUNE 100 companies and major public entities. Prior to joining Jones Day, Dublin had for many years practiced at Preston Gates & Ellis, where he served a term as the firm’s managing partner. He was elected to that position immediately after what was, at the time, believed to be the largest single-city merger of law firms in the country. In his Managing Partner role, Dublin was responsible for integrating lawyers and support personnel and clients, while running a business with multiple offices and hundreds of employees.
"Kirk will be a great asset to our Litigation practice," said Jay Rossiter, San Francisco managing partner. "We are thrilled that he has joined the firm and look forward to capitalizing on his wealth of experience." He joins a team up of more than 300 litigators who represent plaintiffs and defendants across the spectrum of business and other disputes, from relatively simple contract matters to highly complex cases in such technical areas as class action, product liability, antitrust, intellectual property, securities and employment.
Dublin's experience includes clients from a variety of industries, including computer software, health care, consumer products, agriculture, chemical manufacturing, waste disposal, insurance and reinsurance, precious metal production, sport equipment manufacturing, clothing manufacturing, heavy machinery manufacturing, timber, auto repair, distributorships and franchising.
"Perkins Coie's Litigation practice is well known both to me, personally, and to the legal community at large for the caliber of its lawyers and quality of its client base," said Dublin. "I am delighted to be joining such a highly respected team."
He earned his law degree from The George Washington University, and his undergraduate degree from Oakland University.
