Perkins Coie Closes $254 million Military Housing Privatization Project

SEATTLE (September 24, 2007) – A team of Perkins Coie attorneys successfully closed the Tri-Group military housing privatization project for Actus Lend Lease LLC. The project, a $254 million bond financing of a 50-year public-private venture with the Department of the Air Force, involves the development, rehabilitation, new construction, operation, management and maintenance of Air Force family housing and related improvements at three Air Force installations in Colorado and California.
The Perkins Coie cross-office and cross-practice team involved attorneys and staff from Perkins Coie's Denver, Portland, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Washington, D.C. and Boise offices. Attorneys from the Energy, Real Estate & Land Use, Business, Government Contracts and Tax practices teamed together to ensure all aspects of the transaction were handled smoothly.
The Perkins Coie team was led by Arthur Kolios of the Seattle office and James Cowan of the San Francisco office, both of whom recently joined the firm from Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner.
