Perkins Coie Attorney Michael Bogert Named New EPA Region 10 Administrator

BOISE, IDAHO (August 11, 2005) Perkins Coie attorney, L. Michael Bogert, a member of the firm's national Environment and Natural Resources practice, today was named the new Administrator for Region 10 of the Environmental Protection Agency. Region 10 encompasses the states of Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. Bogert has many years of distinguished experience in environmental and natural resources issues in the Pacific Northwest, including his service as counsel to Idaho Governor Dirk Kempthorne.

"We are very proud of Michael and wish him well in this important job. Region 10 faces many of the country's most challenging environmental issues and Michael will bring an intelligent, balanced, problem-solving perspective to the position," said Chuck Blumenfeld, Chair of the Environment and Natural Resources Practice Group.
