Perkins Coie Adds Three More Attorneys in Denver

Press Release

DENVER (March 28, 2011) – Perkins Coie announced that three attorneys have joined the firm's Denver office.  Jason Day has joined the firm as a partner in its Business practice and Of Counsel Amanda Tessar and Associate Zane Gilmer joined the firm's Litigation practice.

"The firm is growing at an unprecedented pace," said Denver managing partner Robert Miller.  "We welcome Jason, Amanda and Zane  to our office. Their skills will further support and expand the services that we provide to our clients in Denver and nationwide."

Day focuses his practice on securities regulations and public offerings, frequently counseling public companies, their boards of directors and management on corporate governance, securities compliance and disclosure issues and capital raising.  He also advises public companies regarding executive compensation, corporate finance, Sarbanes-Oxley Act and Dodd-Frank Act issues. Day also represents emerging companies in raising capital, including through IPOs, and buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions.

Tessar has successfully represented some of the leading pharmaceutical and technology companies in the world in some of their most important and challenging intellectual property matters.  She has litigated complex, high-stakes patent cases around the country, including before a variety of federal district courts, the Federal Circuit, and the International Trade Commission.

Since 1997, the firm's Denver office has provided legal services to clients based in the Rocky Mountain region and nationwide.  Such legal services include commercial, IP and franchise litigation, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, telecommunications, white collar criminal defense, environmental and natural resources, labor and employment, corporate and commercial finance, real estate and product liability. In recent years, the Denver office has grown rapidly, necessitating the recent move to larger office space located at 1900 Sixteenth Street.
