Perkins Coie Adds Three Attorneys to Denver Office

Press Release

DENVER (May 14, 2010) – Perkins Coie announced today that three attorneys are joining the firm's Denver office. Partners Nate Ford, Jeffrey Beuche, and Peter Kinsella will be part of the firm's Business Practice. The group joins Perkins Coie from Faegre & Benson.

"The firm is growing at an unprecedented pace," said Denver managing partner Robert Miller. "We are in a unique and terrific position to welcome new attorneys to our office, which will further support and expand the services that we provide to our clients."

New partner Nate Ford added, "We are excited to be joining Perkins Coie's highly-regarded corporate transactions and licensing practices. Our combined experience makes Perkins a natural fit for us and will provide a solid platform for expanding the services we can offer to clients."

Since 1997, the firm's Denver office has provided legal services to clients based in the Rocky Mountain region and nationwide. Such legal services include commercial, IP and franchise litigation, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, telecommunications, white collar criminal defense, environmental and natural resources, labor and employment, corporate and commercial finance, real estate and product liability.

The addition of the new attorneys in Denver, along with the recent opening of the firm's Dallas office, reflects Perkins' continuing efforts to expand its national presence through strategic acquisitions and lateral hires. Since 2005 the firm has added more than 200 lateral attorneys in a variety of practice groups.

Ford and Beuche join Perkins Coie's Corporate Governance & Transactions practice, which is comprised of nearly 200 attorneys who provide finance, transaction and counseling services for businesses ranging in size from start-ups to FORTUNE 100 companies.

Kinsella joins Perkins Coie's Licensing & Technology practice, which has more than 50 attorneys that concentrate on structuring, negotiating and documenting a wide variety of arrangements to acquire, develop, protect and distribute technologies, both domestically and internationally.

The firm has been recognized for its accomplishments in the legal profession, its commitment to diversity and its excellent client service. In January, the firm was recognized by FORTUNE magazine for the eighth consecutive year as being one of the "100 Best Places to Work." In addition, the firm was recently named as one of the "2010 Top Ten Family Friendly Firms" by Yale Law Women. For the second consecutive year, the firm was named one of the "Best Law Firms for Women" by Working Mother magazine and national consulting firm Flex-Time Lawyers LLC and also earned the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's top rating of 100 percent in the 2009 and 2010 Corporate Equality Index. In addition, the firm received the Corporate Partnership Award for Supporting People with Disabilities.
