Peter Archie, a partner in Perkins Coie’s business practice, has a broad range of experience advising aircraft purchasers, sellers, lessors and lessees in domestic and international transactions. He draws on more than 30 years’ experience in a broad range of domestic and international aircraft activities, including the purchase and sale of new and used aircraft; the sale of aircraft parts and charter businesses; aircraft operating, finance and leveraged leases; conventional and "reverse" like-kind exchanges of aircraft; analysis of fractional interest programs and negotiations with fractional operators; negotiating of charter agreements; U.S. registration of foreign-owned aircraft; aircraft construction, maintenance and management contracts; FAA compliance and lease restructuring. Clients include airframe and parts manufacturers, charter operators and customers; general aviation operators; and aircraft lessors and lessees.
In addition to aircraft experience, Peter’s practice includes other types of asset-based work, principally project finance transactions. Project finance experience includes a full range of project documents such as debt and equity documentation, construction contracts, operating agreements, joint infrastructure sharing agreements, leveraged leases, raw material supply and outtake sale agreements and related transportation agreements (including rail and barge transport agreements and railcar leases).
