Pannell Joins National Business Practice Group

SEATTLE (May 18, 2005) – Perkins Coie announced today that Arthur Pannell has joined its national business practice group as an associate. He will practice at Perkins Coie's Seattle office and will focus on corporate governance and transactions.

Pannell joins the firm from Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in New York, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and securities, and banking and credit. He will work with a team of nearly 200 lawyers working from 11 offices across the country. The group has a broad charter, covering the full range of finance, transactional and counseling work for large public and private companies, leading emerging technology companies, private equity and venture capital firms, and some public entities.

Pannell earned his law degree from Stanford Law School, where he was the editor-in-chief for the Stanford Journal of Law, Business & Finance. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Washington.
