Hugh Totten Quoted Extensively on Conrad Black Trial

Chicago Partner Hugh Totten has been quoted extensively in recent months about the Conrad Black trial. Black, a former newspaper executive who stands accused of stealing $60 million from Hollinger International, the company he once controlled. He, along with three other executives from the newspaper group, are alleged to have developed an elaborate scheme to siphon tens of millions of dollars from Hollinger. Black, who renounced his Canadian citizenship when he was appointed a member of Britain's House of Lords in 2001, is charged with fraud, racketeering, money laundering and obstruction of justice and could face a maximum sentence of 101 years.
