Miller on Supreme Court Nominations

Denver managing partner, Bob Miller,  is regularly called upon for his opinion of both state and federal judicial nominees. Recently, Bob was quoted in a Law Week Colorado article about Colorado Supreme Court hopefuls Bob Russel, Sean Connelly and Rich Gabriel from the Colorado Court of Appeals. As a regular contributor to Law Week, Miller commented on his trust in these Colorado candidates, detailing their strengths as, " younger, very capable, energetic — and I think they're people who are looking to move up.”

Last year, Miller was featured on an episode of the Emmy-winning series Colorado State of Mind  in which he discussed President Obama's nomination of Sonia Sotomayor for Supreme Court. Miller was joined by host Cynthia Hessin and a panel of local minds, including Jean Dubofsky, former Justice on the Colorado Supreme Court; David Getches, Dean of the University of Colorado at Boulder Law School; and Peter Ellis, in private practice and past member of the state Supreme Court nominating commission.   This episode, which aired on June 21, 2009, was recently nominated for an Emmy by the Heartland Chapter of the 2010 Regional Emmy awards.
