Mike Young Celebrates 25 Years of ABA Sales & Use Tax Deskbook

The ABA Tax Section has just published the 25th Edition of the ABA Sales & Use Tax Deskbook, which was founded 25 years ago by Perkins Coie Seattle Partner Mike Young, who has continued to serve as the Editor-in-Chief for all these years later. The deskbook is a multistate resource designed for in-house tax professionals, attorneys and accountants that compiles information about sales and use taxes from every state that imposes them. Seattle Partners Gregg Barton and Bob Mahon have also, at some point, served as Co-Editor-In-Chief alongside Mike.

To mark this achievement, the ABA Tax Section recognized all 91 contributors to the book at the ABA Tax Section meetings in Washington D.C. May 11. Each contributor was given a Lucite tombstone, along with individualized letters signed by the Chair of the ABA's Tax Section. There was also special recognition given to Mike for his tireless efforts over the past 25 years.
