Michael Garfinkel Joins Perkins Coie's Litigation Practice

LOS ANGELES (February 28, 2011) – Perkins Coie is pleased to announce that Michael Garfinkel has joined the firm’s Los Angeles office as a partner in its litigation practice. He was formerly with Venable where he was the Head of California Litigation. "We are pleased to welcome Michael to the firm,” said Bill Emer, Los Angeles Office Managing Partner. "We know his experience will be an asset to our team and to our clients." Garfinkel focuses his practice on entertainment, intellectual property, defamation, class action defense and employment law. He has extensive trial experience and has handled a variety of breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, accounting and unfair competition disputes in many different industries. His clients include William Morris Endeavor Entertainment and International Creative Management. He received his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law and his B.A., with honors, from the University of Michigan. Garfinkel joins a litigation practice which includes more than 300 lawyers in offices across the country with extensive jury and bench trial experience in major state and federal jurisdictions and at every appellate level through the U.S. Supreme Court.
