Metcalf Joins Perkins Coie's Business Group

SEATTLE (June 24, 2005) – Perkins Coie announced today that Mark A. Metcalf has joined its national business practice group as an associate. He will practice at Perkins Coie's Seattle office and will focus on corporate governance and transactions.
Prior to joining Perkins Coie, Metcalf practiced for five years as an associate at the Palo Alto, California, office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. Metcalf represented technology and life sciences growth companies and worked on a broad range of commercial transactions including mergers, acquisitions and divestures; venture capital financings; equipment leasing transactions; and public offerings of equity and debt securities.
Metcalf will work with a team of nearly 200 lawyers working from 11 offices across the country. The group has a broad charter, covering the full range of finance, transactional and counseling work for large public and private companies, leading emerging technology companies, private equity and venture capital firms, and some public entities.
Metcalf earned his law degree from Cornell Law School, where he was an editor of the liibulletin-ny online journal. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics, with a minor in Geology, from Whitman College.
