Marc Elias Co-Authors Article on Voter Registration Modernization

Marc Elias co-authored an article published in Roll Call entitled "Congress Can Better Voter Registration." The article addressed the problems with the current U.S. election voter registration system, and articulated a way to make the system work for all eligible American voters. "States should use an automated system to add voters to the registration rolls when they become eligible…," the article says. "If we do this, we can get rid of the paper, free up resources for state and local governments, provide strict protections against voter registration fraud and eliminate many of the frustrating problems that voters face on Election Day."
