Michael Ananian is a partner in the firm's Patent practice. Having worked as a practicing electrical engineer for many years and then as a patent attorney for almost 18 additional years with Bachelors and Masters degrees in Electrical Engineering, he brings years of experience to the firm and the Patent practice. Michael focuses his practice on intellectual property and patent strategic and tactical counseling, as well as patent, trademark and copyright procurement. He practices patent procurement for the electronics and electrical engineering, semiconductor device and fabrication/processing, optics and optical device, computer, software, communications, medical and mechanical devices, cleantech and greentech, smartgrid, alternative energy, solar and wind energy generation, e-commerce and Internet fields. Many of his clients are in emerging technology industries. He also focuses on business methods and software patent counseling and procurement, in addition to patent infringement, validity and freedom to operate analysis.
