Mark Albert is a partner in the firm's Emerging Companies & Venture Capital practice and Private Equity practices. He has been a transactional attorney for more than 22 years with a primary focus on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, and initial public offerings. Mark has helped clients successfully complete more than 200 acquisition/sale transactions ranging in size from over $1 million to over $1 billion. Typical transactions have included public/public mergers, public/private acquisitions, private/private mergers, and asset and stock acquisitions, with an emphasis on the sale of venture-backed companies, search fund acquisition/sales, public company acquisitions, and acquisitions/sales by private equity investors. Most recently, Mark has developed an impressive search fund practice and currently represents over 35 active search funds.
Mark has also represented more than 200 emerging growth companies, assisting them in raising in excess of $1 billion in capital. He has also helped a number of those companies successfully complete initial public offerings. Areas of particular emphasis include: Internet, software and entertainment.
