Lee D. Stein Rejoins Perkins Coie Brown & Bain

PHOENIX (September 6, 2005) – Perkins Coie Brown & Bain announced today that Lee D. Stein has joined the firm as a partner in its national litigation practice group. Stein, formerly a director at Fennemore Craig, P.C., will practice in the Phoenix office.
Stein's practice emphasizes white collar criminal defense, as well as internal corporate investigations and government relations. Stein previously served as Special Assistant Attorney General of the Arizona Attorney General's Office, Assistant United States Attorney, and as an associate of Brown & Bain, P.A. from 1989 to 1995. He began his legal career as law clerk to Arizona Supreme Court Justice James Moeller.

Stein is part of the firm's national litigation practice group, which is one of the most active in the country. The group is made up of 290 litigators who represent plaintiffs and defendants across the spectrum of business and other disputes, from contract matters to highly complex, multi-jurisdictional cases in such technical areas as class action, product liability, antitrust, intellectual property, securities and employment. In focusing his practice on criminal defense, Lee joins with a group of attorneys from the firm's other offices that practice in the white collar criminal defense area.
Stein is listed in The Best Lawyers in America for criminal defense and Chambers USA America's Leading Lawyers for Business for litigation. He serves on the Water Quality Assurance Revolving Fund Advisory Board, as a Lawyer Representative to the 9th Circuit Judicial Conference, and on the Anti-Defamation League Board of Directors He has taught at both the ASU and U of A Law Schools and is active in several criminal defense organizations. He is a frequent author and lecturer on issues relating to corporate criminal enforcement and governmental investigations.
