Jeffrey Miller Joins Perkins Coie's National Business Practice

Perkins Coie announced that Jeffrey Miller has joined the firm as of counsel in its national Business practice. He will be based in the firm's Seattle office.
Prior to joining the firm, Miller served as chairman of the TRC Royalty Company, president and CEO of NeuroTherapeutics, and as a member of the board of directors for AmKor Pharma. Until 2004, Miller served as senior vice president of legal and privacy affairs for aQuantive and was responsible for all legal aspects of the company's successful $140 million IPO. Prior to those posts, Miller was senior vice president and general counsel for Ostex and NeoRx (now Poniard Pharmaceuticals). He has also been significantly involved in transactions and financing for several biotech start-ups for which he has served as a board member or co-founder, and has also worked as a biotechnology patent attorney.
Miller will focus his practice on serving life science and technology clients in the areas of intellectual property strategy and licensing. He will also advise emerging companies seeking to raise capital.

Miller joins a team of more than 50 attorneys in offices across the country and in China who help life sciences companies, public and private, solve legal problems at every stage of growth.
Miller earned his law degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, and his Ph.D. in biophysics from the University of California, Los Angeles and Santa Cruz.
