| Counsel
Jess Dance is a counsel in the firm’s Commercial Litigation group. His practice focuses on franchise, products liability, consumer protection, and other complex commercial litigation. He frequently litigates cases in state and federal court related to trade secrets, Lanham Act claims, trademark and trade dress infringement, and covenants not to compete. Jess is also involved in a variety of pro bono matters.
Prior to joining Perkins Coie, Jess was an Assistant Attorney General with the Colorado Attorney General’s Office where he gained substantial litigation experience representing state agencies in state and federal court. While there, Jess successfully litigated numerous constitutional cases, habeas corpus actions, and cases involving the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Religious Land Use and Institutional Persons Act (RLUIPA).
