Idaho State Bar Association Challenge Award

Congratulations to the Boise office on winning the 2011 Pro Bono 6.1 Challenge Award from the Fourth Judicial District of the Idaho State Bar. This award is given each year to firms for outstanding service in the area of providing legal services to the poor, performing charitable work, and making efforts to improve the legal profession. This marks the fourth year in a row that our Boise office received the award! In the time period evaluated from April 2010 to April 2011, 100% of the attorneys in Boise office participated in pro bono efforts, contributing over 1,000 hours of pro bono legal services and close to 200 additional hours of civic and charitable activities to improve the legal system and other charitable work. The pro bono hours were devoted to a range of matters including representing victims of domestic violence, participating in Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program, handling corporate work for local nonprofit organizations, and participating in nonprofit technology, sustainable resource and community economic development initiatives. The Idaho State Bar stated that they were "particularly impressed by your firm's commitment to the CASA program, securing domestic violence protection orders, and the large number of hours donated in family law and civil suits for victims."
