Hunter Quoted in Inside Counsel Article on Backup Generator Emissions

Perkins Coie Partner Jeffrey Hunter was quoted in an article published by Inside Counsel entitled "Powering Down." The article discussed the large amount of CO2 backup generators can emit from datacenters because of their need for uninterrupted power. But when building datacenter facilities, many companies overlook these potential outbursts of pollution and improperly site the crucial generators, said Hunter. "Emergency generators don't have pollution control equipment," he says. "It's not like your typical power plant that's running 24/7 and is a Title V source putting in all these controls."
