From Old Books Comes an Inspired New Desk

As part of the recent renovation of the firm’s Seattle office, we engaged the artist team SuttonBeresCuller to build a new reference desk out of recycled books from the library’s collection. As the library expanded its electronic collection, less physical space was required and several print products were selected for recycling. The new desk, now on display, incorporates outdated law books in the base and a glass top etched with pages from landmark American court cases as well as important cases from Perkins Coie’s own history.
