Fiona Brophy



Fiona Brophy is a partner in the firm's Palo Alto office and a member of the Emerging Companies & Venture Capital practice.  Fiona focuses her practice on providing a broad range of services to emerging companies and venture capital funds in the technology area, primarily in consumer e-commerce, interactive entertainment, digital media, information technology, Internet and social media, cloud services and life sciences.  She represents start-up companies through all phases of their existence - serving as "virtual" general counsel from formation to venture financing to day to day operations to their ultimate exit through an Initial Public Offering (IPO) or merger. She has represented private companies and venture capital funds in hundreds of transactions such as venture capital financing and private equity transactions, debt financings, complex restructurings and spin-off transactions and she has a robust merger and acquisitions practice, ranging in size from several million dollars to $300+ million dollars.  Fiona co-authored "The Public Company Handbook: A Practical Guide for Officers and Directors," published by Bowne Financial Printing.
