Represented investor in electric utility in Oregon PUC proceeding regarding need for regulatory approval of acquisition.

Represented MDU Resources Group and Cascade Natural Gas Corporation in state proceedings in Washington and Oregon for regulatory approval of MDU's acquisition of Cascade.

Successfully appealed PUC order, obtaining reversal of $97 million annual revenue reduction.  Obtained desired rate design.

Represented Scottish Power plc in obtaining regulatory approvals for its acquisition of PacifiCorp in proceedings before regulatory commissions in Washington, Oregon, California, Utah, Wyoming and Idaho.

Represented sewer utility district in dispute with wholesale customer regarding rates.

Represented owners or operators of the bulk-power system in their efforts to comply with reliability standards enforced by the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and regional reliability entities.

Monitored and provided timely reporting on activities at the FERC of concern to pipeline customers or buyers and sellers of gas, including electric utilities with gas-fired generation.

Represented power marketers and other clients in obtaining market-based rate authorization from FERC.
