Kathryn’s practice focuses on real estate transactions. She represents financial institutions in connection with construction financing, bridge and permanent financing for new construction sites, hotel developments, residential and mixed use projects, and retail and office buildings. She also represents owners and buyers in acquisition and sale transactions. She regularly advises clients on title, survey, zoning and other due diligence matters for commercial properties. She also assists landlords and tenants with the negotiation of commercial leases.
Her experience also includes litigation involving tenant eviction, defense of solar site development entitlements, and defense of administrative development decisions. She has handled administrative record compilation, land use due diligence, compliance with CEQA and other regulatory statutes, and defense of land use entitlements. Kathryn is particularly interested in the intersection of environmental issues in the commercial real estate context.
Kathryn is also active in the firm’s pro bono practice, assisting in a foreign mother’s petition for the return of her minor children, as well as assisting a San Francisco nonprofit with expansion of housing facilities for low income individuals.
