Governor Hunt, Labor, and The Bisbee Deportation

The histories of the Bisbee Deportation and the 1916 gubernatorial election have each been separately documented. 

What is less known is the link between the two. This article argues that the deportation likely would not have happened had George W. P. Hunt, Arizona's governor since statehood, been sitting in the governor's chair.
