  1. How do I apply for a position at Perkins Coie?
To apply for any open position, you must fill out the job application on our online portal. To see a full list of open positions, click here.
  2. What happens to my resume after I have submitted it?
Your resume is promptly entered into our resume database and made available to recruiters who specialize in the areas matching your qualifications and experience as it relates to the position. If it is determined that you are a suitable match for a position, a member of the recruiting team will contact you directly for an interview in person or via telephone.
  3. How will I know the status of my resume?
If you e-mail your resume, you will receive an immediate receipt notification. If you fax or mail your resume, you will receive a letter of acknowledgement within two weeks of your application. You will be contacted by phone if your experience appears to match our needs. Unfortunately, due to the volume of resumes we receive, we are not able to make personal contact with individuals who are not going to be invited in for interviews.
  4. When can I expect to hear from a recruiter?
If there is an interest in your resume, you can expect to hear from us within 30 days of your application. While candidates selected for interviews will be notified of their status, we regret that we cannot personally contact all applicants regarding their status.
  5. Should I send a list of references or samples of my work with my resume?
If you’re selected for an interview, we may request work samples and professional references at that time. It is not necessary to provide any of these materials when you submit your resume.
  6. I wanted to apply for a position that is no longer posted. May I still apply?
Unfortunately, we can only accept applications for a specific available position. We update our job postings weekly, therefore, we recommend that you visit our site often to browse available positions.
  7. Can I apply for more than one position at a time?
Absolutely. You are welcome to apply for any of our postings that you believe match your skill set and aspirations. You must indicate the particular position(s) of interest in order to be considered for more than one opportunity.
  8. How long will my application be active in the database?
Each resume submitted for a job is active during the recruitment period for that position. It is not our practice to accept unsolicited resumes.
  9. What is the length of time a job remains open?
Most positions remain posted until the position has been filled. You can check our postings on a regular basis to find out what opportunities remain current.
  10. How can I communicate directly with the hiring manager or the recruiter?
After you have applied for a specific job, your application will be reviewed by the recruiter and/or hiring manager. If your qualifications best match the criteria of the position, you will be contacted to schedule an interview. Due to the high volume of interest in opportunities with our firm, it is not possible for our recruiters or hiring managers to communicate with every candidate.
  11. What is your interview process?
It depends. For most positions, we begin the process with a phone interview. If there is an interest on both sides, we invite people in for an on-site interview, typically with the hiring manager and several teammates.
  12. What type of response can I expect following an interview?
After an interview, the recruiter will contact you via e-mail, telephone or letter regarding your candidacy for the position.
  13. How long do you take to make a decision?
Once we’ve finished interviewing all of the selected candidates and completed reference and background checks, we try to make a final decision within a few business days.
  14. What benefits does Perkins Coie offer?
Perkins Coie offers a generous competitive benefits package. We will provide more detailed information to all final candidates.
