| Partner
David Frazee, a partner in the firm’s Business and Intellectual Property practice groups, helps companies drive innovation through the creation of comprehensive corporate, business, and intellectual property strategies. David helps companies from formation through equity financings, IPOs, and M&A transactions. He also helps companies derive value from IP through licensing, litigation, competitive mapping, audits, mining, tax optimization, blocking patents, spin-offs, open innovation, and distressed asset acquisitions. He understands the unique problems of emerging growth companies, having served as general counsel of two technology start-ups, one of which he led through its IPO. David also has significant international experience, especially involving Greater China.
David has appeared in many publications discussing innovation and business strategy, including Fortune, The Financial Times, The Red Herring, The Hollywood Reporter, South China Morning Post, and The Wall Street Transcript. He is a frequent speaker, including at the 2005 Fortune Global Forum in Beijing and the 2006 Financial Times Innovation Summit in London.

- Appeared on Jeopardy! in March 2003, winning $26,800
- Won a $10,000 entry into 2006 World Series of Poker Main Event by beating 490 players in a satellite qualifier; finished in top one-sixth of the record field of 8,773 players
