As a CPA, flight instructor/commercial pilot and trial attorney, Clark Nichols brings a wealth of experience and broad perspective to meeting his clients’ needs. He has more than 30 years of experience in the areas of product liability, commercial litigation, federal tax litigation, attorney professional malpractice and domestic and international aviation accident litigation.
Clark's pilot experience and training and his aeronautical engineering studies at the U.S. Air Force Academy have contributed to his successful representation of aviation clients in litigation arising out of more than 100 aircraft (fixed wing and helicopter) accidents throughout the United States and in Canada, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela, Colombia, Haiti, the Bahamas, Italy, England, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, the Maldives, the Philippines, South Africa, Papua New Guinea, and on the High Seas. Additionally, he regularly provides product liability counseling to clients on a wide variety of engine and airframe components for both airplanes and helicopters.
Clark's background as a CPA and his advanced degrees in business (MBA - Accounting, MS - Finance, LL.M - Tax) have been especially important for clients involved in tax controversies and commercial disputes. He has successfully represented individuals and corporations in tax refund actions against Department of Justice attorneys in federal district court, in litigation against IRS attorneys before the U.S. Tax Court, in defense of individuals charged with tax crimes and in state and federal administrative hearings involving tax controversies. Clark has successfully represented individuals and corporations as plaintiffs in personal injury and wrongful death actions, professional malpractice actions and large commercial disputes that have resulted in multi-million dollar recoveries for his clients.
