This position will be responsible for providing business development and marketing support to the Phoenix office. Specific duties likely to include: market research, strategic event planning and management, pitch and proposals support, and helping increase attorney and office visibility.
Primary job responsibilities will be to:

Provide marketing and business development support to local attorneys on a broad range of services, including proposal development and support, market research, internal capabilities research and planning support;

Meet regularly with local attorneys to develop and support client development goals and priorities;

Develop new opportunities to increase visibility of individual attorneys, practice groups and industry groups to targeted audiences;

Identify and manage market-facing opportunities, including events, targeted sponsorships and seminars as well as oversee the development and management of collateral materials, as necessary, including the maintenance of relevant content in sections of the firm’s Web site for which you are responsible;

Evaluate and coordinate sponsorships and other contributions to charitable, professional and other community organizations;

Establish and monitor budgets for all local marketing, client relations and business development activities;

Participate in departmental efforts to build marketing and business development infrastructure and improve internal processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness across offices and departments.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing and have demonstrated ability to establish effective working relationships in operational groups. This position also requires strong problem-solving and organizational skills as well as resourcefulness and flexibility. Must have the ability to prioritize work and maintain confidentiality and have good working knowledge of personal computer and office-based software. A Bachelor degree is required plus three years in marketing and/or business development. Experience in or familiarity with law firm or professional services marketing is preferred.
