Overview

Trial attorney, litigator and counsellor Craig Allely has obtained favorable settlements, judgments and verdicts in more than fifteen states. Craig has conducted investigations in five countries, employed focus groups and mock trials to better prepare for trial, and represented clients from every continent except Antarctica. Preparing experts to deliver decisive testimony is a particular practice strength. He has prepared, presented and cross-examined at trial a variety of experts in such technical fields as statistics, materials science, chemistry and biology.

Craig has been involved in class litigation in state and federal courts across the country, been national coordinator for significant litigated matters and participated in several Multidistrict Litigations (MDLs), assembling and deploying interdisciplinary teams to efficiently accomplish client objectives.

Craig represented the State of Louisiana in the Chinese Drywall MDL in New Orleans. Craig’s recent representations include representing clients in commercial real estate and construction matters, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and IRS investigations, international financial transactions and analysis of Commercial General Liability (CGL) insurance coverage issues. He recently resolved several notable claims involving product liability, premises liability, insurance coverage and personal injury.

Craig has also counseled clients in international transactions, including sales and distribution agreements, related compliance matters and financing and licensing agreements.

During his more than 30-year legal career, Craig has represented an eclectic group of clients, including several Fortune 100 businesses, Grammy-winning performers, sports players unions, the Society of Jesus (Jesuits), Brazilian process chemists and a Russian forest products company.

Craig is active in civic organizations and advocates for international education, a reflection of Craig’s worldwide travels and past experience practicing with leading firms in New York and Rome, Italy. Craig currently represents Advocates Abroad, a field-based organization providing essential free legal aid to refugees and asylum seekers. He is conversant in Spanish and Italian and conducted business presentations in these languages. Craig has consulted for the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations on projects in Croatia and Poland and remains deeply involved in agriculture, operating a family farm in Nebraska.
