Practitioners in the exploding field of corporate anticorruption compliance need little convincing that today we find ourselves in what Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer aptly characterized as ‘‘a new age of [significantly ramped-up U.S. and foreign anticorruption] enforcement.’’ Funk and Clark in their article (1) discuss how the SEC’s much-anticipated 2011 whistleblower rules fall within this enforcement paradigm, and (2) examine practical steps companies can take to ensure that their compliance efforts are effective and user-friendly, motivating potential employee-whistleblowers to report perceived problems internally first.  Read the full article.
