IP Enforcement Programs |
Overview
Effective and proactive enforcement of intellectual property rights is part of the business model of the most successful companies. Perkins Coie’s Intellectual Property litigators have substantial experience helping clients protect and enforce their intellectual property rights domestically and internationally.
We regularly counsel clients on all phases of intellectual property enforcement, including:
- Development of comprehensive anti-piracy programs;
- Factual development and investigations into alleged infringements;
- Advice on prioritization of targets, litigation strategy and implementation of that strategy; and
- Referrals of appropriate cases to U.S. and foreign law enforcement.
We develop and administer investigatory efforts (without notice to identified infringers) and cease-and-desist programs, as well as litigation programs, including Doe suits.
Our team of attorneys includes a former U.S. Attorney as well as former prosecutors from various U.S. Attorney’s offices and the Department of Justice’s Computer Crime & Intellectual Property Section. The background and experience of our attorneys enables us to provide efficient and effective counseling and litigation of individual, multi-state and multi-country copyright and trademark enforcement actions.
